Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. TrendRadar accounts are hosted on Supabase. When you create an account we store your email address, the name you choose to provide, and a user ID that identifies your account. If you sign in with Google, or with Apple on iOS, we receive only the account identifier and email address that provider releases to us.

Content and preferences. Saved music is stored on our servers and linked to your account, so it is there when you sign in again. Your selected country, music region and notification preferences are stored with your account so they apply across sessions. Saved trends are stored only on your device and are never uploaded. A profile photo, if you set one, stays on your device and is never uploaded.

Push notifications. If you turn notifications on, our push provider OneSignal assigns that installation a push subscription identifier so alerts can reach it, and we associate that identifier with your user ID. We also send OneSignal your notification preferences, selected country and music region so that alerts respect your choices. If you never turn notifications on, no push identifier is created. The App does not collect advertising identifiers such as Apple’s IDFA or the Android advertising ID, and does not collect precise or approximate location.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to run the App: to sign you in and manage your account, to show trends and music for the country you choose, to keep your saved music and preferences available, to deliver the notifications you ask for, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting.

3. Analytics & Third Parties

The App does not send usage analytics to any analytics provider. It includes a “Usage analytics” setting under Profile → Privacy & data, but no analytics destination is configured in the current release, so no usage data leaves your device through it. The App contains no crash-reporting SDK and does not transmit crash reports. We rely on service providers to operate the App: Supabase for account data and content storage, and OneSignal for push notification delivery. Explanations of why a topic is trending are generated using an AI provider, which receives the trend text being explained, not your personal information. These providers process data on our behalf. This website is separate from the App and does use cookies and website analytics; see our Cookie Policy below for details.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the App. That removes your account and the data stored with it, including your saved music and notification preferences. Saved trends and any profile photo remain only on your device and are removed when you delete the App or clear its data. You can also request deletion by contacting us at the address below.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account yourself from Profile → Delete account. For any other request, including a copy of your data, contact us at the address below. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

6. App Stores and Platform Permissions

Our data practices are disclosed on both stores: as a privacy “Nutrition Label” on the Apple App Store, and in the Data safety section on Google Play. We only request permissions for features you choose to use — notifications, and photo access if you set a profile picture. You can review or revoke these at any time in iOS Settings or Android Settings. TrendRadar never requests location permission.

7. Security

All traffic between the App and our services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

TrendRadar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email prior to taking effect.
