TrendRadar
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how TrendRadar uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (trendrdar.com), and how the TrendRadar apps for iOS and Android use comparable device-based technologies.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies — such as your browser’s local storage, or device identifiers and local storage on mobile — serve comparable purposes.
2. On This Website
Your choice. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Your answer is stored in your browser’s local storage (as tr_analytics_consent) so we can respect it on every page. It is not used for analytics.
Analytics — only if you accept. If you select Accept, we load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. If you select Decline, or make no choice, neither is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. We also do not load them if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) measures page views and how the website is used, for example clicks on our App Store and Google Play buttons and reaching the end of a blog article. It sets the first-party cookies _ga (to distinguish visitors) and _ga_GM2F4QQ6SB (to keep session state), each with a default lifetime of up to two years. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off for this measurement.
Microsoft Clarity (provided by Microsoft) records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and other interactions, to produce heatmaps and session recordings that help us improve the website. It sets first-party cookies such as _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft may set its own cookies such as MUID and CLID. We tell Clarity that storage for advertising is not permitted.
Links to the app stores. Our App Store and Google Play links include campaign labels (for example web_article_end) so that Apple and Google can report how many downloads came from our website. These labels describe the link you clicked, not you, and are not cookies.
3. In the TrendRadar App
Essential. Required for the App to function correctly, such as remembering your session or preferences.
Analytics. Help us understand how the App is used, so we can improve performance and usability. These are only active if you've enabled analytics in Settings → Privacy.
Preferences. Remember choices like your selected country, theme (dark/light), and notification settings.
4. Managing Cookies
On this website you can change your choice at any time: use Cookie settings (also in the blog footer), or open any page with #cookie-settings at the end of its address. If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics measurement on this website and remove the Google Analytics and Clarity cookies set on our domain.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and control in-app analytics at any time from Settings → Privacy within the TrendRadar App. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect core functionality.
5. Third-Party Services
Google Analytics is provided by Google and Microsoft Clarity by Microsoft. They process data in accordance with their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not permit third parties to use this data for advertising purposes.
